Third Time was NOT the Charm

Welp I did my last practice cake. It was not pretty. First of all I had some serious leaning problems. Second I didn't put enough butter cream frosting on it. Third I just can't seem to figure out how to shape the fondant around the sides of the cake without having wrinkles. I think for the final cake I'll just cut it and have one flap in the back. Just so you know I do plan on putting something around the bottom so it looks a bit more finished. I dyed my fondant blue just to see how it works. It looks kinda smurfy to me. I don't know if it was just easier to see with colored fondant but I had a lot more air bubbles in this one. Good news is that I did some research online and found some fondant brands that are supposed to be better tasting. I went and got some Satin Ice and it actually does taste better but I really want to try Choco Pan. It is made out of white chocolate.

I still think it looks awesome. Fondant is definitely not easily mastered though. I always get a seam in the back. I'm over it. :)
